人生哲理英语美文摘抄1
There once was a master who went to india. in those times, we didn't havethe communications or airplanes or many kinds of transportation that we do now.so the master went to india on foot. he had never been to india before; perhapshe came from persia. and when he got there, he saw a lot of fruit. in india theyhave plenty of fruit to sell, but much of it is expensive because they can'tgrow much due to the water situation. so he saw one basket, a big basket of somevery red, long fruit. and it was the cheapest in the shop, not expensive atall.
So he went up and asked, "how much per kilo?" and the shopkeeper said, "tworupees." two rupees in india is nothing; it's like dirt. so he bought a wholekilogram of the fruit and started eating it. but after he ate some of it: oh, mygod! his eyes watered, his mouth watered and burned, his eyes were burning, hishead was burning and his face became red. as he coughed and choked and gaspedfor breath, he jumped up and down, saying, "ah! ah! ah!"
But he still continued to eat the fruit! some people who were looking athim shook their heads and said, "you're crazy, man. those are chilies! you can'teat so many; they're not good for you! people use them as a condiment, but onlya little bit to put into food for taste. you can't just eat them by the handfullike that; they're not fruit!" so the stupid master said, "no, i can't stop! ipaid money for them, and now i'll eat them. it's my money!"

there was once a lonely girl who longed so much for love. one day while shewas walking in the woods she found two starving songbirds. she took them homeand put them in a small cage. she cared them with love and the birds grewstrong. every morning they greeted her with a wonderful song. the girl feltgreat love for the birds.
one day the girl left the door to the cage open. the larger and stronger ofthe two birds flew from the cage. the girl was so frightened that he would flyaway. as he flew close, she grasped him wildly. her heart felt glad at hersuccess in capturing him. suddenly she felt the bird go limp. she opened herhand and stared in horror at the dead bird. her desperate love had killedhim.
she noticed the other bird moving back and forth on the edge of the cage.she could feel his great need for freedom. he needed to soar into the clear, blue sky. she lifted him from the cage and tossed him softly into the air. thebird circled once, twice, three times.
人生哲理英语美文摘抄3
When we were kids, we had no idea of what limitations were and we had nocare in the world so we could do things without worrying about how we appearedto others. However, as we grew up, we lost that childlike innocence.
So don't lose the child that still lives within you. The next time you feeldown, go turn on your favorite song, and sing and dance along like there is notomorrow. Or watch something that makes you laugh. Laughter is the best medicineto whatever ails you and nothing is better than laughing so hard that your tummyhurts. Trust me, you will feel a whole lot better, and who doesn't want to feelgood?
人生哲理英语美文摘抄4
We all, at one time or another, have pretended to be a rock star, singingand dancing along to our favorite song. Most of us have done this in the privacyof our own room when we were kids and as adults, in the privacy of our homes.Me? I love to do that when I drive! I turn on the radio, find a song that I cansing along too and pretty soon my arms are in the air and I am moving along tothe rhythm. Most of the time, I do this on my way to work.
Yes, that is true. I will be in my nice work clothes, jamming while drivingor stopped at a traffic light. I get weird looks from some people and otherslaugh. Personally, I love to get lost in the rhythm of a song which leads me toshare with you the importance of being silly!
The definition for the word silly, according to the dictionary is: stupid, foolish and nonsensical. I know many people do not want to look foolish. So theywalk around all serious, which in all honesty, is foolish!
No one is perfect, I repeat: no one is perfect. I don't care how educated, how thin, how beautiful, how simple, how frugal, how rich, and so on… No one isperfect! So why pretend to be something you are not?
人生哲理英语美文摘抄5
Silence
silence is soundlessness; silence exists in different forms.
an empty head or a blank mind which leads to speechlessness--that issilence.
enthusiasm fades like dying embers and thus leads to cynicism andindifference to life, which arouses neither happiness nor sadness, neitherworries nor anger, and which costs people their interest in and desire foranything--that is silence.
despite all the experiences of love and hate, of disorientation andreorientation, of order-giving that was answered by hundreds and call-issuingthat was not answered by a single soul, there is not a word uttered, but only aclam eye that watches on this world--that is also silence.
worries and sufferings, tastes of changes and vicissitudes of the world, footprints left in mountains and valleys and noises of rivers and oceanscherished in the heart are all but hidden unrevealed--that is still silence.
either an invaluable italian violin or a reed whistle cut out casuallywould remain silent if they are not played, although the connotations of theirsilences differ greatly. for even though they are never touched by anybody, youcan still imagine the vastly different sounds they can possibly produce.
a flawless jade ornament, or a coarse, gross brick will always remainsilent if it is left untouched, but who can draw an equal sign between them?
indeed, for a living being there is no such thing as true silence, forsilence itself is a revelation of the mind and the heart, an echo of the soul ofa different form.
some people use silence as a disguise of the emptiness of the head.
some use it as a means to depict their disorientation and melancholy.
and some use it as a way of expressing their angers and sorrows.
